‘Day Out’ At Marlborough Festival!

Sunday 21st June at the Town Hall, 10.30-2.30pm.

Marlborough Festival is pleased to announce the repeat of last year’s successful Day Out, for people living alone and in care homes, in the Marlborough area.

Please reserve a spot for yourself or loved ones, by emailing: info@marlboroughfestival.com, and letting us know you want to come!

  • If you would like to volunteer to help at the event, please email luke@marlboroughfestival.com.

  • If you are a Carer, and applying for a loved one or someone in your care, please remember to include yourself on the list. You deserve a break too!

  • If you require transportation to the Town Hall, please email us with a pickup address and the number of passengers, along with any extra relevant information.

This event has been made possible with the help of Wiltshire Council, the Marlborough Area Board, the Transforming Care of Older People team at KAMP, and donations from local businesses.

The BJ Richards Trust

-Promoting enjoyment of the Arts for older people.

The Trust is offering a limited number of free tickets for the Priory Gardens event on Saturday 20th June. The tickets cover entry for a guest plus carer, along with food and drink.

Please let us know by email if you wish to be included. Offer limited to Marlborough residents.

Senior Games and Love 2 Move session

Optional physical activity session delivered by Wiltshire & Swindon Sport (WASP). A combination of indoor games and a musical session that encourages singing, movement and exercise for the brain. Developed by the British Gymnastics Foundation.

12.00pm - 1.00pm

Refreshments

1pm - 2.30pm

Film Screening (Film Title TBC)

A classic movie from the Golden Age of cinema.

2.30pm-3pm

Transport home.

Love 2 Move, endorsed by the British Gymnastics Foundation, is designed to reduce/reverse cognitive decline. It is present in over 100 care homes in Wiltshire.
